Sight-reading Hindsight is 20/20

Ben Taylor, bass player from JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound and all-around-cool-guy, wrote an excellent blog post on how his high school band experience simultaneously fully prepared him for playing the score of PASSING STRANGE and made him want to punch his band director in the face. Enjoy!

  1. I too had a high school experience that prepared me for a future endeavor. I was one of the leads in my senior class play, and I loved it. I remember it to this day. So when it came time to write my own play, “223 Brush Street” I remembered back to that wonderful, fun time and it helped me write it. I also remember reading “The Miracle Worker” in high school and that too helped me write the play. So Bailiwick Theater, “223 Brush Street” has a rich history too. I hope you will produce it!!
